Frequently Asked Questions

Please find my most frequently asked questions below. Should you have any additional questions, please email me directly via the Contact Page.

What can I expect from my first session with you?

Our first session will be a 50-minute nutrition assessment. Before we meet, I will send you a link to your online patient portal where you can electronically complete all initial paperwork prior to our first session. In our initial session I will collect history on your current health situation and complete a full nutrition assessment/ provide you with a meal plan.

What should I bring to our first session?

Since all of my paperwork is digital and sent directly to me, there is no need to print out any of the paperwork. Recent labs and growth charts are appreciated if you can obtain these before your first session.

Do I need to be present for the session with my child?

If your child is under the age of 18, I require at least one parent to be present. For the first half of our session, I will start with your child individually and will have parents come into the second half of session to discuss the assessment and meal plan all together.

How much are your services?

50-minute Initial Nutrition Assessment: $150
50-minute Follow Up Session: $150
25-minute Follow Up Session: $75
Individualized Monthly Meal Plan and Grocery List: $60

Do you accept insurance?

I am not in network with insurance companies at this time, however, I am happy to provide you with a superbill that has the diagnosis code, service, and the information your insurance company will need to reimburse you for my services. I will provide a superbill upon request and email them out monthly to clients who have requested them.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes! You can request a virtual session if you prefer. My system will send you a link to your email 24-hours before our session. When you click on the link it will take you to the video session.

Will you weigh me at our sessions?

I understand that stepping on a scale can be a trigger for many clients, as well as having someone else see that number. I only weigh you if I am following your weight for medical purposes. This can be a conversation we have together and we can make a decision that best supports your health. I want to meet you where you’re at!

What if I don’t follow the meal plan or the goals we set, should I reschedule our next appointment until I am able to follow it better?

As much as you might want to cancel because you were unable to follow the plan I set for you, I encourage you to keep the appointment so we can explore what went wrong. Maybe it’s something about the plan we need to change. Sometimes the sessions my clients have wanted to cancel end up being the sessions we discover even better solutions and have amazing breakthroughs!
